Metabolism
The chemical activities that go on inside an organism can organism can be given the general term metabolism.
Metabolic reactions can be divided into two general categories: anabolic and catabolic.
- Anabolic reactions; The chemical reaction in which smaller molecules join and form a complex molecule.
- Catabolic reactions; It is reverse of anabolism that means larger molecules are broken down into smaller units.
Breaking down and joining of molecules is subject to consume and releases energy respectively in the cytoplasm of cell. The whole energy is recycling in cell
